IVF Clinics

Hello ladies

I'm new to mumsnet.

Does anyone know a good private IVF clinic that you can recommend? I had a very bad experience with London Women's Clinic, we took legal action against them and thankfully got all our money back. My friend recommended ARGC. Another friend had much worse experience at ARGC than i had at LWC and told me to stay away from ARGC.

I had two appointments with ARGC and i'm afraid to say i do not have a good feeling about them. The whole thing feels like conveyor belt and all they want is your money. I have had two blood tests so far at the cost of £430.

Before i got any further with them, i would like a second opinion.

Thank you ladies.

Care Fertility in either Northampton or Birmingham

A friend of mine said good things about Lister in London. Other friends have used Simply Fertility in Chelmsford

Herts and Essex Fertility are brilliant. Very knowledgable, excellent care and so friendly. I'm currently 12 weeks pregnant after my first cycle with them.

Honestly, they're all pretty bad. Some people have better experiences than others and a lot depends on the circumstances which have led you to having IVF. FWIW, we used CRGH because they had they best statistics for comparable couples and the location was convenient. They're quite business like but that was fine for me and whenever there was anything wrong, they were very quick to worth things out (extra tests, more meds etc).

I would recommend the Lister. Really good conception rates, careful about the risk of multiple pregnancy, much calmer than ARGC.

I would 100% recommend Care Fertility in Northampton. Best of luck x

Id recommend the international European clinics.
Personally id avoid the uk at all costs. I too had a bad experience here.
And I've Never once heard anything good about the London women's clinic in all my ivf years.

Personally I'd look at
Gennet and Reprofit in Czech Republic
And
Serum and New Life in Greece
BOL
xx

Newlife Greece, amazing clinic, amazing staff.

I haven’t done IVF but have done fertility tests and a couple of rounds of IUI at CRGH. my review is much the same as pp above - they had very good statistics for my circs, could be a bit brisk and business like but were fine to deal with and very upfront about prices and timescales.

Whenever i called up with queries/confusions/need for extra info, i always got a kind and helpful call back or nurses’ apt. Perhaps if you were feeling a bit fragile they might seem a bit brusk, but i found it a reasonably good experience.

Fightthebear · 05/06/2019 19:24

I did ARGC and thought it was grim.

Dehumanising conveyor belt.

2019newbie if you want to know anything about Newlife, feel free to contact me. I cant recommend them enough. I am currently 22 weeks with a Newlife baby

SmilingThroughIt · 05/06/2019 20:01

I cant recommend Harley Street Fertility Clinic enough. Exceptional care and professionalism. After many years of struggling to conceive we did IUI and were successful on the first round unbelievably. The tests and investigations are so thorough without making you feel like uncomfortable.

We used CRGH 5 years ago now, very brisk and at times a conveyor belt BUT they had the best statistics by far and were very focussed on the outcome (sorry that sounds very clinical). Personally I'd say go with the best statistics as kind and caring is great but what matters is the highest chance of conceiving. They were pretty expensive though. But I've just put my 5 year old and 6 year olds to bed, I have CRGH to thank for them both.

As others have recommended Care Fertility in Northampton. Good luck!
