40+4 just lost mucus plug

Hi,

I'm 40+4 today and have just lost my mucus plug along with some period cramping. Do you think this is it as I'm 4 days overdue or could I still have days to wait!?

Hellooo very good sign!!! I was 40+4 when i started losing my mucus plug in small amounts but no cramping then 40+5 a big lot come out and i had contractions on and off all day then went into labour at 12pm that night, 3hrs later he was born. I hope your baby comes today! I no its rubbish when you get to 40 weeks and still waiting! My first was 7 days late and my second 6 days🙄 good luck💕

Unfortunately you could still have days to wait, they dont really consider it as a sign. I lost mine plus I had 3 sweeps after and she still didn't come.

Your body is definitely getting ready but yes you could still have days to wait. Remember full term is up to 42 weeks.

For now enjoy leaving the house by just grabbing your shoes and keys and going.
