I'm 5 weeks 4 days pregnant. I have had bleeding since Friday last week and cramping which ranges from brown spotting to red and enough to make all the water in the toilet bowl red and small clots. I had bloods done over 48 hours which doubled and had a scan Thursday and they couldn't find anything at all. I'm having pain on my left side but it's towards my back. My cramps from all over my tummy and back but the sharp pain is to my left side in my back. I'm due to be scanned again Thursday. If I go to a&e today what would they actually do for me today?

Unfortunately a&e will be useless as most EPUs are closed on a Sunday so they probably won't scan you anyway and you would spend several hours sat with the "worried well" when you're going through something traumatic.
What level of hcg came back in your blood tests? This is crucial - if it is over 1000 then something should be seen on a transvaginal scan? That being said mine were 3900 and it took several scans to locate my baby in my left tube?
If your pain becomes so bad that no amount of painkillers are taking the edge off - think being unable to walk type pain - definitely go in/call an ambulance due to the risk of ectopic

my hcg was only 296 on Friday morning. I'm bleeding a lot again today and dull cramping. I hate not knowing whats happening, but I can't see that it's going to stick.

Update-
Scan yesterday showed sac, but nothing else in there (could be too early). HCG 6 days after being 296 is now 5000! I have another scan in 11 days and hopefully there will be something in the sac. I'm still bleeding, but not as much as I was.

Good luck. Hopefully next week there will be something in the sac. It sounds positive that the HCG numbers have gone up.
