Private scan in late pregnancy

I'm 30 weeks with our first baby. Not had a scan since the 20 week one and no others planned, having a c-section for medical reasons so probably won't get another as the baby's position is less relevant. DH and I have been wondering about getting a late private scan to see what kind of size the baby is and generally what she looks like before we meet her. This would be purely for reassurance/curiosity as we can wait to meet her! Has anyone else done this and what's the best week to do it in? 35 weeks maybe?

I gad late scan privately as i wanted to be certain of position. I had it at 36weeks however the sonographers recommended a bit earlier if we were interested in 3d images. Think baby can get a bit squished up in there

Go for it. Its 40quid where im from so no harm in having a look

I had it at 34 weeks and got to see our little mans perfect face so worth it ! Even though he kept covering it with his hands 😂

I had a 4D scan but the place I used only did it up to 32 weeks, as after that, it's hard to fit them on screen.

Aside from that, I've had NHS growth scans and it really is impossible to make out that he's a baby now. They can't get him on screen fully, they look at either his head, tummy or leg.

If you're going for a 4D scan, do it, but do it soon, but if it's just for a regular black and white scan, I wouldn't bother.
