Hello, so this is my 6th pregnancy... miscarried the last 5.

I found out I was pregnant last month, going from my last period date I should be 8 weeks 1day. I went for a scan on the 6th April, the gestational sac was 8mm and they said I was 5 weeks 1day, I went last Thursday and the sac was 19mm but couldn't see baby in there, I went Thursday gone and the sac was 28mm and still couldn't see baby. They offered me the tablet to "wash the sac out" I refused. I'm going back next to Friday for another ultrasound before making a decision. Has anyone ever been through this? Is it 100% a miscarriage or could have I been misdiagnosed?

I am really sorry but by 8 weeks, even if your dates are wrong, you should be able to see something inside.

I was told if the sac is measureing over 12mm and there is no baby there then it means it's a miscarriage I'm really sorry about this happeneing to you again fingers crossed tho when u go back there will be somthing

This is what happened to me and it was a miscarriage, the sac seemed huge but nothing inside, I'm so sorry OP and crossing my fingers for you 💐

Just been for my bloods today- they're 89,000, they said it's possibly an ectopic but they won't scan me until next week because I'm not in any pain and it hasn't ruptured. I'm absolutely disgusted with them.

I think you should get referred for further testing if you haven’t already. Ask if there’s a repeat miscarriage clinic on the NHS / you can get an appointment with a consultant. If not you could go private to an IVF clinic.

Hello, I've been seeing a recurrent miscarriage consultant, they've done blood tests but all came back fine. So they told me it's a case of trying and eventually one will stick. I've now transferred myself to another hospital as the one I was at is absolutely useless. I spent the night in hospital lastnight, and I'm in for a scan tomorrow to be sure this pregnancy isn't growing before going ahead with any treatment x

I'm so sorry you're going through this it does sound as if they haven't been very helpful.

Blood tests are all well and good but they don't pick up everything.

I have to say (and I've been flamed for this before) that I think we're also really bad in this country for not acknowledging certain research that other developed countries have taken on board decades ago. I won't mention specifics here as I've had vicious attacks when I've done so before but happy to discuss by pm if you wish op. I'm no expert but when I had mine I did my own research (ex nurse so not "just googling") plus I've had many discussions with others who've been through this.

I only had 2 mc but I've several friends that have been through similar to yourself and it's shocking how late relatively simple causes like APLS have even been tested for let alone treated.

And I'm not buying the "cuts" and the Nhs as a sacred cow bollocks either.

Because as with many other issues NOT testing, dx and treating early doors incurs greater cost long term it's bad fiscal planning if nothing else.

What have you been tested for? Have you had scans when not pregnant? Exploratory surgery to check for endo etc?

I hope the place you're under now is more proactive.

I'm going through the same. 3rd pregnancy and scan at 7 weeks 6 days measured 5 weeks, sac was 6-7 weeks but no fetal pole or heartbeat detected. Just a blob! They want to rescan me in 10 days which is a week tomorrow but not sure if I want to wait that long as surely within a week if anything's was to change it would...I want the scan in 4 days but not sure the epu will agree.
I've read lots of positive stories but I'm just one of those that will read these miracles that happen to others but never to me! So frustrating!

Maybe you should look into natural fertility.
There’s a really good website. Just goodbye natural fertility.
I also had issues to conceive my dad and have PCOS. I mainly started taking vitex and progesterone cream and also , if you are religious, prayer.
I used to have very painful periods and stumbled upon the website as I stated my health leaving journey to naturally cleanse my reproductive health.

Just Oman update, my pregnancy unfortunately didn't progress. Mmc diagnosed yday at 9+2, Fetus 5+ weeks.
3rd consecutive mc in 12 months so feeling like my world has fallen apart :(

When my MIL started having multiple miscarriages it was assumed the reason was her but it turned out to be FIL instead.

My husband has had his semen levels checked and all seems to be fine.
My consultant has suggested genetic testing for us both and is hoping to remove this pregnancy by Erpc so it can be sent for testing too. I'm waiting on his call today.
