40+1 weeks. When will I be induced?

Hi,

I was at the midwife today and didn't even get offered a stretch and sweep! She just booked me in for my next appointment with her a week today where she said we will then discuss induction. Does anyone know if I can go next Friday and ask to be induced ASAP? Or if they'll make me wait so long? Obviously hoping baby just comes naturally before hand!

Usually about 42 weeks

If it’s not your first baby then sweeps shouldn’t be done until you are 41 weeks and induction at 41+5. She’s following NICE guidelines.

I'm currently 8 days overdue and booked in to be induced on Wednesday at 40+12.

I was induced 2 weeks exactly overdue.

I'm booked in for 42 weeks exactly. I'm going to ask them to bring it forward a day or two though.
