Maternity Pants

Hi, I've been wearing under bump maternity pants but as my bump has grown the skin is a little sensitive and I'd rather have over bump ones (even though they look ridiculous ) - at 33 weeks comfort definitely wins over style. Mothercare is out of stock (in store AND online) and I don't know where else I can get them - any advice?

Hope someone can help!

Hi there - I just went to Asda and bought cotton full briefs (they fit over my bump and Im 38 wks) - big size - you get a pack of 5 pairs for 4 pounds if I remember rightly. Basically I didn't want to spend too much on big knickers which hopefully I won't need for too long!! And they're really comfy!!!

I'd back up what magnolia said - I bought some gigantic knickers from asda for a few quid and they're really comfy. I'm usually a size 20/22 but I bought the knickers in a size 24/26...

Have fun shopping!

Any opinions on disposable knickers for after the birth? Are they rubbish, or worth buying?
I was just going to buy a multipack of cheapo black cotton pants from Asda for after the event. I figured it would be grim enough having to use giant maternity pads without having to put up with paper knickers rustling / tearing / falling to bits while you're wearing them.

When I had ds1 I just bought pants in a larger size from Primark and threw them away afterwards - didn't fancy rustling as I walked either!

Oh, and thanks everyone for the advice on maternity pants. I'm going to have to go for proper maternity pants I think as I have pants in bigger size from M&S but I find that they roll down below my bump and drive me crazy!
