I think we all do a lot of natural worrying as expectant parents.

How about a place to say what you're excited about? This isn't too exclude people with genuine concerns or worries, or the usual anxieties that we all feel.

How far along are you and what are you really looking forward to doing with your new little one?

Were they planned, a happy accident?

Is this your first? What are you most looking forward to doing?

Why did you set yourself stem this path in the first place?

@fonxey Hi! What a good idea, might keep our minds off of worrying😊 I am 4+6 and it is my second pregnancy. Sadly the first ended in a mc.
After the mc we started trying but it was too stressful so decided to stop trying for a while. Thats the month we got pregnant. A happy surprise 😊 I look forward to having a scan where everything looks good! I can't wait to find out the gender and pick a name. In the more distant future I can't wait to watch Disney movies with little bean 😄
What about yourself?

Hey! Such a lovely idea! Things sometimes seem so negative it's nice to think of the positives! I'm 8+5 pregnant with my first! This little one was a happy accident, but were so excited for it!! I'm so looking forward to telling my step son when I'm 12 weeks hes going to be so excited and I want wait for my first scan which isn't long away either! I fant wait to take my little one swimming when they are a few months old!

Thats a really lovely idea. I'm about to reach 20w with our first baby. It was planned but got asked that a lot as we never mentioned the idea of starting a family to anyone and dismissed the conversation so it shocked everyone! At the moment I am most looking forward to finding out if it is a boy or girl in a few days time (not fussed either way just looking forward to naming him or her) and in general I am most looking forward to holding my new born baby for the first time. We ummed and ahhed a lot about whether now was the right time and even stopped txt after first month but swiftly got over our fears! what about you OP?

EnjoyItAll · 27/04/2019 07:46

ttc not txt!

I'm 13+4 with DC 3. Not totally planned but very much wanted! I've spent a great deal of this pregnancy worrying (I'm 40 and have already done this twice so have a greater awareness of what can go wrong) but have recently decided I need to try and enjoy the experience. I'm most looking forward to seeing my DC bond with their new brother or sister when the time comes!

My turn then! I'm a chronic worrier so I'm glad people are enjoying this thread.

I'm 6+3 weeks along. This will be my first child and was very much planned and wanted.

It took a long time to come to a decision to have a child, due to various reasons, but i think i have always wanted one i just couldn't admit this desire because i found it so unlikely!

Anyway, the thing I'm most looking forward to, other than just meeting him/her is... reading with them. I know it's silly but i love books and i just want to share this with them. I want to see my parents in law happy and show my child beautiful places and wildlife. I'm looking forward to introducing the baby to my cats and hearing the house full up with something other than meowmeowmeow! Probably regret that wish haha. I love baby noises, even the sound of them crying. Probably nice when you can walk away though.

I really am looking forward to reading with my child. I think i will start them young and read what I'm reading to them as a baby to begin with.

And he or she will probably just end up looking football... Lol. But that'll be ok too as long as they are happy and interested.

Hi what a lovely ideaSmile I have had so much anxiety with my pregnancy already so this is a lovely distraction.
I am 14+2 with my first. I'm excited for my 20 week scan to confirm baby is okay and to confirm the sex.

I'm most excited to hold my baby for the first time and introduce her or him to their big brother (my stepson) X

Tizzytilda · 27/04/2019 11:01

Awww I loved reading what you all put! I'm the same, total worrier so...

This is my first pregnancy and it was planned, but happened unexpectedly fast as I have PCOS. I am 13 (nearly 14 weeks).

I'm really looking forwards to sharing the world with the littlun. With teaching them how to be kind and thoughtful. With showing them all my favourite films, my favourite places. I can't wait to make them feel loved and special, and help them turn in to a cool little person. I'm also looking forwards to seeing what their personality is and what they can teach me about the world!!

Definitely looking forwards to days out at the beach and just exploring. I've wanted to be a mom forever so I'm just... Very excited hahaha :-)

cowchickenduckdog · 27/04/2019 11:09

Brilliant idea! I'm 36 weeks tomorrow. This is our first (I'm 39) and we had to go through IVF due to me having my fallopian tubes removed after a trauma years ago. I never wanted children until I met my man and realised I was just waiting for a bloke worth breeding with lol We're very excited to have our little one join us. We farm beef so looking forward to having little'un learn about country life, animals and in the tractor etc. I also look forward to providing an upbringing that I wish I'd had! xx

Hi ladies! I was just thinking today how much I look forward to dressing little bean 😄 is everyone finding out the sex before birth?

Bubblebubble123 · 05/05/2019 20:26

Oh I love this idea. Sometimes I think reading through forum posts is making me worry more. I’m reading about other people’s worries that I hadn’t even thought about prior to logging on!!

I am just 5 + 3. I have a toddler already. I can’t wait to see them playing together and watch my son teach the new baby how to do things and make him laugh. I think he’ll be the kindest, loveliest big brother.
I can’t wait to dig out all the tiny new baby clothes and get them washed and ready.

December2019 · 05/05/2019 20:47

I love this thread!
So I'm 7+3 with no2 my first took us 7 years to conceive... and this little one happened right away my little man is only 4 months old 😊
With this pregnancy I'm due exactly the same date as my son last year I even found out I was pregnant at exactly the same date as last year 😜

I'm looking forward to seeing my babies grow into beautiful people that will do good, I can't wait to hear them laugh together and make mischief together...
I can't wait to buy new little socks and outfits... and more than anything else I can't wait to hold my baby and smell his/her hair when they are first born... that smell is beautiful, I've kept the hat my son had on as soon as he arrived and it still smells like beautiful newborn 💙
