So, how do you/did you refer to your baby when it is still an embryo/too young to be gendered/gender left unknown?

We call ours Blasto as it started off its conception as a blastocyst. Blasto stuck! Baby Blasto.

Kicker was our first. Not very original maybe

DC2 was even more wriggly so we called him Scrapper

DC3 looked like was kicking off from the side in the ultrasound pic and so got the nickname leaper.

Mines really embarrassing and stupid Blush... its 'the Phoebtus'.

My cat is called Phoebe, I dote on her completely and DP joked that I spend so much time in bed snuggling the cat that he was surprised she wasn't the dad. I replied that yes, I wasn't carrying a foetus, I was carrying a Phoebtus.

We need to find out the gender asap so this kid can get a proper name!!! Confused

mynameiscalypso · 25/04/2019 22:09

We do know the sex but even so, I think we'd still end up doing what we've done which is naming it after which Spurs player has played particularly well recently...

Bambamber · 25/04/2019 22:25

We've had nugget, sprout and now twiglet

Covmum83 · 25/04/2019 23:24

This one is called Pip - DH does keep referring to it as nugget though..

LKH27 · 26/04/2019 08:16

I go by the size of it. So blueberry, olive etc. Now onto wee fig.

Kinsters · 26/04/2019 08:19

My first pregnancy was blasto, the next one was babi.

Rainbow145 · 26/04/2019 10:52

Ours is called nugget, as my Step daughter looked at the early scan picture and said it looked like a chicken nugget. It has just stuck now.

LordoftheRinse · 26/04/2019 10:56

DS was bubble because on his scan pic there was what looked like a bubble above his head.

WeeBean · 26/04/2019 11:26

Ours started out as Junebug because he's due in June. Now we know he's a boy and have settled on a name that's what we call him.

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 26/04/2019 11:28

@Parent19876 those are too cute! love 'diarear'

IntoValhalla · 26/04/2019 11:35

DC1 = Squiggle Pig (she was a very active baby!)
DC2 = Squirtle (DH said he looked like a Pokemon at the first scan and Squirtle is a cute Pokemon!)
DC3 = is simply known as “foetus” at the moment Blush we don’t know the sex and there’s been no particular nickname-worthy events yet

theruffles · 26/04/2019 12:53

Button and Tiny Baby, because she was really small!

Ster2019 · 26/04/2019 13:28

Ours is womble, our little womb dweller.

BelulahBlanca · 26/04/2019 13:29

CeeCee88 · 26/04/2019 13:33
