Newbie here.... I think I’m about 5 weeks preggo, and am suffering really bad with stomach cramps. Have done my research and have read cramps are normal at this stage, but f*ck me the pain is unreal sometimes. The cramps seem to come in waves a few times a day, and the pain has me in tears, screaming and swearing sometimes.
Can anyone share any advice on how to make it through this stage? I work in an office and have to seek out an empty meeting room to lay down and attempt to massage my tummy and back to calm things down....
Help!

You need to ring 111 now. What you are describing is not normal and maybe a sign of eptopic pregnancy.

I did 111 at the weekend and saw the on call doctor, he had a quick feel of my tummy and tested my urine, and just said it wasn’t anything to worry about and to take paracetamol to get through the pain 🤷🏻‍♀️
My booking in appt isn’t until 15th May so don’t know what to do until then...

I would go to see your GP. Cramps bad enough to have you screaming and swearing are not normal

Agree with others get another opinion. That level of pain is not a standard early pregnancy pain.

bobble53 · 25/04/2019 18:08

I’d go to A&E. The pains shouldn’t make you cry x

MrsKP11 · 25/04/2019 18:16

Thank you for the advice. Not sure how to go about getting another opinion though, my Doctors surgery is usually a 3 week wait for an appointment, and would feel weird going to A&E especially if I didn’t have a wave of the crappy cramps whilst there. Kinda feels like I don’t know where or who to turn to. Classic first timer wobble I guess. Poor husband doesn’t know what to do or how to help.

Another one for saying go to A&E. The amount of times I ended up there was embarrassing but I was rather I was safe than sorry. Plus, the doctors understand and don't think you're mad.

Don’t mess around either ring 111 or go to A and E.

Agree with the others go to A&E and get checked out sharpish. They won’t thing you are wasting time or being silly. Pain like that is not normal and needs to be checked out ASAP.
