37+6, stabbing pain in left side

I am 38 weeks tomorrow and am due to have an elcs next week (due to previous failure to progress and subsequent emcs).

I've been having braxton hicks most evenings for that last few weeks but they have always fizzled out.

This morning I have started getting a sharper stabbing type pain in my left hand side. It is always there to a degree but is also coming in stronger waves. It doesn't feel like period pain more like round ligament type pain. It is strongest in my left hand side but stretches round to the front.

As I only had contractions with the drip in my last labour I'm not sure what it feels like when it kicks off spontaneously. Does this sound like it might be the start of anything? Or just one of those delightful pregnancy things?

If the pain gets stronger and more frequent and doesn't go when changing position it could be best to call the midwives just to make sure.
