Sick of feeling sick

On and off all day since week 9, now 13+ so I’ve had 4 weeks with two whole days without it. I don’t actually throw up all that much, maybe twice a week so I feel like a big whingebag but honestly I feel so sick 95% of the time. Haven’t bothered with the doctors as I figured it’s just what it’s like, tell me it’ll be over soon... please! X

It’s horrendous isn’t it?! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it doesn’t always get better I’m afraid Sad

I’m 25 weeks at the moment, and I had severe morning (more like all day!) sickness from 10 to 18 weeks. I still have days where I’m sick a lot, but I count myself lucky that it isn’t constant any more, even tho the nausea is still there. Is this your first baby?

Aww OP I feel for you, before pregnancy I always thought ‘nausea’ was so mild and easy to cope with.

Reading about it all on NHS websites and baby books etc it just sounded so ‘run of the mill’ and nothing to be moaning about.

Then I got pregnant and was sick almost every day for 10 months, and when I wasn’t being sick, I just felt sick - it gave me a fear of being sick, it is really so much harder than I think anyone who doesn’t experience gives it credit for.

I did have about 4 glorious weeks ‘off’ the sickness and it was wonderful, although most people I know it ended at around 20 weeks.

Hang in there, I know it’s hard and feels never ending but it does come to an end ! Flowers

I started getting sick at 6 weeks and I'm only just starting to feel a bit better at 19 weeks. It has definitely made me realise that this is my last pregnancy, really don't think I can do it again

Yes this is my first pregnancy, I hate moaning about it as I know I’m really lucky and I don’t have it so severe that I’ve constantly got my head down the toilet, but it’s just getting really hard now not having a break from it. My first few weeks up until week 9 we’re fantastic, no sickness at all, I was just hungry and a bit constipated. Week 9 hit me like a ton of bricks and since then it’s been mid afternoon till evening I’ve felt my worst, with most mornings being just slightly queasy.

I didn’t want to bother the doctors as I like some of you just thought it’s what it’s meant to be like, my mom tells me I’m lucky as it’s reminding me my baby is growing just fine and I know that’s true also, as the days when I’ve felt good I have panicked something might be wrong. As it is my first pregnancy I didn’t and still don’t know what to expect, I’m just really hoping I’ll be one of the lucky ones and that it might pass soon.

I really appreciate all the support and kind words! Good luck to all of you who are currently growing a nauseating machine x
