On Saturday 13th April I went to lay down and I started to experience a bit of reflux which was unusual for me. I decided to do a Clearblue weeks indicator. The results came back positive 1-2 conception making me 3-4weeks pregnant. Worried about how the pregnancy was going and with my previous history of an ectopic I decided to repeat the test again on the 15th April. The results came back positive 2-3 conception making me 4-5weeks pregnant. Excited by the rapid growth, I decided to arrange an appointment for the early pregnancy unit through the use of the nurse practitioner at my local GP, which would take place on 18th April. Before attending my appointment, neverous that I may have read the Clearblue indicator wrong I repeated the test again. The results came back positive although only this time saying I was 3+ conception making 5+ weeks pregnant. However, this was actually not the case. When I went for my vaginal scan with my husband, it showed I was only 3weeks pregnant and barely anything could be seen on the screen. I was told to do a blood test but informed the results would be less than 300mIU/ml due the size on my scan. I was expected to do 3 blood tests, which would determine how the pregnancy was doing. The bloods were expected to double every 48hrs if the pregnancy was going well. The results came back above 1000mIU/ml. So I requested to do another test on the 21st April. The results came back >4000mIU/ml, which wasn't to be expected as I was only 3weeks according to the scan. I was called in to do another scan to check growth of the pregnancy. On the 23rd I did my scan and it came back well. My pregnancy is developing well, I'm officially in the 4weeks bracket and the yolk sac has formed. I have now been advised to come back in two weeks which will be the 7th May. By this time the embryo would have been formed and the heart beat should be present. I'm getting really excited now😊. I'm not sure if using the Clearblue weeks indicator was good for my anxiety levels. I would opt to just pregnancy test instead next time. Less stressful and simple to understand.
