Short femur, isolated or non isolated?

Just trying to read up and the outcomes seem to vary drastically depending on whether it's an isolated short femur or non isolated. I can't figure out the difference and google isn't helping me. Anyone?

I don't know but my now 13 year old had short femurs and had extra scans but as there were no other issues they just put it down to the way he was growing and the angles in the scan.

I think it can be a marker for other issues, so I assume the isolated means without other signs and non isolated means with other signs ; could be wrong, but I know they spent a lot of time looking at head circumference, stomach and heart to see whether any of these were amiss.
