third tri swelling

Has anyone got swollen ankles ? I’m 34 weeks and mines come on suddenly today an in my thighs , I know it can be a sign of pre eclampsia so going to call hospital in morning. Just wonder If over worrying ?

I'm 40 weeks and all of a sudden my feet and ankles have swollen, particularly my toes.

Maybe it's the heat? It's been getting warmer hasn't it, and the added pressure of baby weight is probably doing it. Mention it to your midwife at your next appointment I will be :)

I also looked into it as I know it's a sign of pre-eclampsia, I learnt that swelling in the feet, hands and face is a sign of pre-eclampsia but I don't think some slight swelling in the ankles or feet especially this late on and in this heat is something to worry about. But definitely mention it :)

If even your thighs are swelling I would ring the hospital tonight.

I have but only my ankles, nowhere else and it didn’t come on suddenly and comes and goes. I’d ring tonight if it’s come on suddenly and severely.

Thank you , the swelling is in my hands and knees also and got quite bad but I got checked at the Docters and bp urine an sugar test all normal, but there going to keep an eye on it incase it progresses into something
