C-Section Hospital Bag!

Okay, so I'm 26+4 and starting to think of the things I need for the hospital and post-partum. I'm a FTM and am just wondering what everyone used for postpartum bleeding? I don't want those horribly uncomfortable thick rustly pads so any suggestions would be gratefully received! Blush I have endometriosis and am used to very heavy bleeding although I know this will be heavier so I'm not sure whether to go for the normal pads I use (Always Infinity) but in the long version or whether I need to buy something different? Also, are the mesh underwear worth buying? Hmm

Anything else you can suggest for my hospital bag for c-section?! Smile

Ok. I just used boots own brand, I took two packs which was enough for me.
I bought some big pants from Sainsbury’s rather than mesh ones. Big ones are good because they avoid your incision.
Take some cheapy slippers that are easy to slip on for the morning after for getting to the loo.
Your favourite snacks and drinks.
To be honest you don’t need much more other than the bits for baby. I had a separate bag for baby’s bits.

Primark big black pants! And using proper maternity pads initially is important to gauge if your loss is normal or not.
Once home I used less visible ones!

Didn't have a c-section but I used the thin type with my second as they were supplied by the hospital (in the USA who itemised every pad for my insurance company!) I used tatty old pants. First time (uk) I had boots disposable knickers and maternity pads but only because mum took it upon herself to buy "everything I needed"

Pure essential peppermint oil for drinking in warm water.

Tena lady knickers! Had some of my grans leftover, absolutely brilliant, no leaks and really comfy just very unattractive!

Enormous pants and also clothes that won't sit on your scar. Maternity leggings and tracksuit bottoms are good.
