When did you get your 12 week scan appointment letter?

Hi,
I'm currently 8+4, and have my booking in appointment next Friday. I was wondering if I should have heard about when my 12 week scan will be, or is that something that gets booked after you see the midwife for the first time? What were your experiences?

I got mine after my booking appointment through the post

Will probably be different for different areas, but I got my letter through on a Friday for a scan the following Weds (12+4)
They told me their policy is to book very late notice!

Mine came through a couple of weeks before my booking in appointment but then in my area you have an initial appointment with a midwife when you first self refer. This appointment is very short and is essentially congratulations, here are your notes and gets you in the system. The midwife then goes through the notes fully at the booking appointment.

Not until after booking apt. Booking was at 10 weeks and got scan letter through a few days later.

Booking in was at 8 weeks, had my 12 week appointment letter through the post at 12 weeks, and scan at 13+4! Think it depends on your area and how busy it is. This was around the Christmas period to a busy time, plus bank hols etc which is why I think it was later than they generally go!

In my area the midwife refers you on for your scan after the booking in appointment. I had my booking appointment on the Tuesday and the letter arrived on the Friday for a scan two weeks later. I was a bit worried it was all getting a bit late but after the booking in appointment it all moved forward really quickly :)

It's different everywhere, mine was booked whilst I was at the booking in appt for around 3 weeks later. St Marys Manchester

I had my booking in appointment last Tuesday and got my scan dates through the post today for the 22nd of may so I'll 12+2.
