@Eliza9919 my symptoms have gone today. Bloating is also down so I'm a little worried. Have a CB digital to arrive tomorrow so hoping for a 3+ on Saturday. I'm 5 weeks today...

SuperSarah · 02/05/2019 10:03

Morning everyone,

I have just booked myself in and got my first booking appointment and my first scan. How exciting is this!

I haven't even thought of exercise yet. I sporadically go to zumba once in a while. Not sure if its a good idea now. Although my last zumba instructor was pregnant and she kept going with the class right up to the end. That big bump was getting tossed around so much it used to terrify me lol! She ended up with a healthy baby thank god.

Eliza9919 · 02/05/2019 10:13

I just got an email from the midwife team confirming my email and asking do I want to sign up to their app so I ticked all the boxes and got another one giving me the link to the app. They contact you and arrange all your appointments on the app but mine only has general info on it so far, but they might give me my booking in appointment soon.

aliensprig · 02/05/2019 11:28

@Eliza9919 ooo that sounds fab, how do you sign up for that? So much easier than having to do everything through your gp.

SuperSarah · 02/05/2019 11:32

@Eliza9919 That's a very sophisticated system, I'm sure you'll get all the details soon! I was just given a phone number to call and the lady was helpful. I'm surprised I got the date of my first scan so quick to be honest.

Eliza9919 · 02/05/2019 11:42

I don't know whether its a national thing. It might just be an east kent thing.

Got my 3+ today at exactly 5 weeks. No more testing for me now, hopefully early scan at 7 weeks.

Anyone have really achey legs?

Hi ladies, sorry for the absence. With GCSEs in the next few weeks, work is crazy. The only good thing is that I've been occupied.

Last week I felt pretty good with barely any symptoms. This week has been horrendous. I've had pretty bad nausea, the sorest boobs and nipples, back pain, cramps and I'm exhausted. I've also weirdly had the dryest mouth, like when you've been on a night out and wake up the next morning.

@Eliza9919 I've kept up exercise classes until this week. I've found it makes me feel better so I'll be back next week. I read that as long as it's part of normal routine and you listen to your body it's okay.

I wore a dress today and thought god I look like I have a bump already. It's probably more the ginger biscuits than baby though.

On the April bus thread, we spoke about early symptoms linking to twins. I knew I had twins on my side, but found out over the weekend there are twins on my boyfriend's side too. I'm now petrified!

Sorry for the long response. Hope you are all well!

Eliza9919 · 02/05/2019 20:10

Omg @ELJ1502!! Dp can't wait for the first scan to see if we've got twins. I kinda hope it is as otherwise we'll probably only be having the one. This one took long enough!

I've been ok during the day this week, just been coming over a bit nauseous in the evening. I'm in bed at the mo tho with a headache and starting to feel sick. Heartburn and reflux have been kicking in since yesterday. I might give up bread in case it's that.

I had a bit of a panic earlier about maternity allowance eligibility but I think it's all good, I should get the full rate for the 39 weeks.

Has anyone thought of any names yet?

OP posts:
SquigglyOne · 02/05/2019 20:19

I already have a name picked out for a girl Blush
Tbh I’ve known what I’d call a girl way before we even started ttc. I’ve always been convinced we’d have a girl first - no idea why 😂😂

Eliza9919 · 02/05/2019 20:43

I had a unisex name picked out but DP said there was an old villan/crook (think Krays/Frankie Frazer, all that lot) with the same name (forename, surname) so he doesn't like it.

I'm struggling to find boys names that I like enough.

OP posts:
SuperSarah · 03/05/2019 01:36

I'm the same. Have a girl's name picked (it's the same one we picked had DS been a girl) but I always struggled with boy's names.

@ducksandacorns No achey legs for me, just cramps and twinges.

AysLon · 03/05/2019 15:14

Anyone else having breakouts? My skin has been bad since BFP and hasn't calmed down.

Eliza9919 · 03/05/2019 18:26

I had a spot come up on my cheek today. I'm not normally prone to spots - I might get 1 when due on occasionally.

OP posts:
Bubblebubble123 · 03/05/2019 19:05

@AysLon yeah I think it’s normal enough to get break outs in early pregnancy. It’s all the hormones. I’ve had a couple of spots but wouldn’t usually be prone to spots

SquigglyOne · 04/05/2019 10:34

Hey ladies - how are we all today?
I’m feeling extra anxious today as I’ve reached the 4+5 mark where I miscarried last time, so thought I’d start off a nice convocation to take me mine off it.
Anyone have any feelings as to whether they’re having a boy or girl - or anyone hoping for either?
I’m pretty convinced we’re having a girl but DH says boy. I really don’t mind either way - just desperate for a happy healthy baby
Xxx

Eliza9919 · 04/05/2019 11:18

I'm happy because I got a 3+ this morning.

I think it might be a boy but I dunno. I don't mind either way.

Hi everyone. Sorry for mu silence also - my shifts have been all over the place and I've been exhausted.
Feeling extra tired recently, crampy, moody, sore boobs, spotty and greasy hair. Nausea comes in waves but nothing standing out too much yet. All divine! I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow.
I'm waiting to hear from my midwifery team after GP confirmed my pregnancy on Thursday. The app idea sounds great - hope mine has a good system like that.
I have a girl and a boy now and found out with both so feel it would be nice to have a surprise this time since it's likely our last. Names are tricky as we've used our favourites already and OH is so fussy!

Eliza9919 · 05/05/2019 09:33

Feeling a bit achey, not quite crampy, this morning. Nausea might be starting to make a proper appearance again.

We aren't going to find out the sex, we'll wait and keep it as a surprise.

I think nesting has started 😂 I want to declutter and deep clean the entire house this weekend/bank hol.

Got my BFP yesterday! 4+2 today. Was wondering why I was feeling so tired Grin

user1471549213 · 06/05/2019 09:50

Hi ladies I got my bfp yesterday. Clear blue said 2-3 weeks. However I'm a bit confused as my dates would only make me 1-2 yesterday. Last MP was 8th April but only lasted 2 days had sex 12th&19th April, not sure when ovulation was and bfp 5th May. By LMP date it says I'm 4 weeks today but clear blue indicated 4-5 yesterday. Does this just mean that maybe I ovulate early so maybe higher levels of HCG than should be by lmp date?

Sorry you'd think I should know all the stuff on baby no. 3 but I've been very lucky and fallen pregnant quickly on previous occasions.

Any advice welcome!

ELJ1502 · 06/05/2019 10:16

@user1471549213 I just wouldn't rely on the clear blue dates. They're known to be off. I loved seeing my 3+ but I do think they're a gimmick more than anything.

user1471549213 · 06/05/2019 10:42

@elp thanks point taken. Was more interested in CB telling me if 8th April's bleed was implantation or actual period as it was so light but it would have definitely said 3+ then so I'll stick with that as my LMP for hospital

On both of my previous pregnancies they've given me a due date 6 days before calculated date.
