I'm sure this is a silly question, but I'm sure you all can help me.

Do I have to go through my doctors when I find out about pregnancy or can I go straight to midwife?

I really don't fancy sitting in waiting room for a couple of hours trying to entertain DS.

Think your GP has to refer you. Why do you have to sit and wait for 2 hours? Can someone look after your other child?

I went straight to my midwife last time. Try ringing your GP reception? They should have a midwife linked to the practice.

Tried asking about that last time teafortwoandtwofortea, but reception lady didn't have a clue.

Yes, they have a midwife, who is based at the hospital and I'd rather go straight to her.

Will ring tomorrow and tell them rather than ask and see what happens. thanx

Chip, GP is very, very slow and 1.5-2 hrs wait not unusual. might consider babysitter (nan) but don't fancy sitting there waiting myself either actualy LOL

Thanx
