Pubic bone - am I abnormal?

NC b/c I feel so weirdly embarrassed over this...

35 weeks pregnant (first baby) and have started perineal massage. All fine, until I decided to see what the degree of stretch was like on the anterior wall (on the urethra side). Either side of the spongey curve of the urethra, about an inch inside my vagina, I can feel a ridge of bone. Genuinely hard bone, not a firm bit of muscle or anything.

The only thing I can think of it being anatomically is my pubic bone...but that doesn't seem at all right that it's palpable from the vaginal canal?

Really terrified that I have a bizarrely small pelvis now.

Has anyone else felt this?

I'm tempted to go to the Dr for reassurance but feel so stupid 😞

Me too, don't worry it is totally normal. And your baby will be the perfect size for your body Smile

Midwife here. Don’t worry, you are perfectly normal. Best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy and impending birth.
