Sickness worse than ever at 13 weeks

Between weeks 6-10 I felt nauseous most of the time but was only sick maybe once a week. Week 10 + 11 nausea came and went but now at 13 weeks I seem to be being sick a couple of times a day at least!

Has anyone else experienced this? I naively thought I’d be feeling better by 13 weeks not worse Confused

Afraid the idea that nausea ends with the first trimester is a bit of an old wives tale. Mine hung around until around week 16, and was particularly bad some days towards the end. Try to rest as much as possible and hopefully you'll be feeling much better within a few weeks!

I’m sorry but I was nauseous between 8-25 weekS.

Mine’s still here at 31 weeks! But I’m in the minority and fwiw around weeks 11-15ish I found it began to get a lot more intermittent rather than constant but when I did feel sick it was very very intense and overwhelming and all consuming.

I'm 14 weeks and it's getting worse. I've had a bad day again today. Feeling sorry for myself. Every time I say to someone I think it's going it comes back and knocks me off my feet again! Praying it ends soon for you and for myself. It's hands down the Worst part of pregnancy for me

@reastie you’ve described it perfectly! No longer low level constant nausea but when it comes I’ve got to move fast! So all this “it gets better by the second trimester” is a lie Grin even had someone today ask how far along I was and then say “oh you’re over the worst then!”....not quite yet.

@kgeal3 hope yours improves soon Flowers

Winwog sadly mine was never just low level nausea in first trimester but the intensity was all consuming towards the end of first trimester/beginning of second and I remember thinking I wasn’t sure what was worse, constantly feeling very very sick or moments of feeling better but then when it was bad it was awful. I reckon at some point between 14-20 weeks you’ll see a big improvement in it if what seems to often be the case is so with you, keep on keeping on!

I am almost 21 weeks and still vomiting most days. It’s never passed for me yet, it has eased and is more manageable but I’m still vomiting daily. I fully expect this to continue till the end!

I had HG and was nauseous and sick 24/7 for 39 weeks. I was hospitalised and on IV fluids at 38 weeks. It stopped when the baby was out.
The only thing that helped was rest and sleep. Not easy if you have a job/other children.
I believe that there are meds that are safe to take these days though, so see your GP.
