Dull ache at 3 weeks

I found out I was pregnant yesterday, and then developed a dull but constant pain in my lower right pelvis, went to urgent care bit they said come back tomorrow as pre-natal department not open today. I'm worried I am having an ecoptic pregnancy. Urgent care dr said it's a possibility but he spoke to gynaecologist on phone who said it is unlikely to have ecoptic symptoms at 3 weeks and even if it is it's too early to be dangerous to me. I'm booked to go in Weds but I'm just looking for any advice/a bit of a hand hold from anyone who had similar symptoms and it turned out to be something else pregnancy related.

Hi OP so are you 3 weeks from the day of ovulating (ie 21 DPO or 5 weeks) or 3 weeks from your last period - so you haven't missed a period yet??

I have had aches and twinges on the right side all day today. I also had an ectopic which ruptured my left tube last year - your doctor is right that either way it is too early for the Pain to be ectopic (although I've worked myself into a bit of a state today thinking my twinges are the sign of another ectopic) .

I first felt like something was wrong last year about 5+5 weeks and it was confirmed at 6 weeks. I also had Hcg levels which were within the normal range and doubling as they should. (Over 3500)

Unless your hcg level is over 1500 on Wednesday and you are at least 5 weeks pregnant then a scan won't show anything on Wednesday whether it is in the tube or uterus so be prepared to not get a definitive answer x

Thank you @miracleon13th I've missed a period, well my period was due three days ago so not totally missed but BFP and then confirmed by hospital today, I'm on a 24 day cycle. I'm hoping they can just reassure me that it's most likely my uterus streatching or even trapped gas, it was mentioned of a scan by doctor I saw in Urgent Care but he admitted prenatal department are the experts! Keeping my fingers crossed for you x

Thanks OP you're very very early in pregnancy so there is absolutely no way anything will be seen if they scan you this week. They may take a blood test to monitor your HCG levels instead though.
This early sounds like could be implantation cramping or the corpus luteus cyst 🤞🤞🤞everything works out for you x

Hey @Icecreamsoda99
I had aches and a sharp pain on my right side at 4 weeks and was sent to EPU with suspected ectopic. They done my bloods and took them again 48 hours later and they'd more than doubled which was good. I went back a week later for a scan and they saw the yolk sac in the womb. They asked me back in 2 weeks to see babies heart (next week). X

@xoxhayleyxox thank you that is super reassuring, best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy x
