Help! Bleeding at 7weeks

Lou011 · 22/04/2019 04:55

( sorry for my English)
I’m 7 weeks pregnant and I’m bleeding since Friday ( period like, have to change my pads 3-4 times a day) with light cramps. Called 111 went to A&E they did some tests. I’m ok but don’t know how the baby is. Was told because my test results are fine I can’t be referred to the gyn. I have to wait till Tuesday and that they don’t have enough people for to do a scan. Sickness is gone and breast tenderness is gone too. Had a miscarriage last year that started exactly the same. I’m freaking out! Any good advice?

Sorry but it does sound like you’ve miscarried 😢

I had this happen, horrible, got a scan the next day.. heartbeat was fine. then it happened again!. Terrible bleeding.. scanned again heartbeat fine. Pregnancy thankfully carried on without issue. Doctors looked at me as if I was crazy but Later did genetic testing (instead of amnio because I didn't want to provoke a misc given what I'd gone thro). Test revealed a twin had been there! Had beautiful DH full term. Ask doc for progesterone they don't know why but it helps prevent miscarriages.Stay positive, Flowers

Doctors in the uk are highly unlikely to prescribe progesterone to support a natural conception. There is little scientific evidence that it changes pregnancy outcomes except in the cases of ivf. So if you do ask about it, be prepared they may well say no.

If you have had period like bleeding for 4 days with cramps this early in your pregnancy, it does sound like you have sadly had a miscarriage. Although as the pp said sometimes things can be ok. What tests did a&e do that they said were fine? I’m sorry you are going through this. I found lots of support on the mumsnet miscarriage board when I had a m/c last year.

They did a urine test and blood tets to check my hcg level, iron, any infection sign, vitamin etc. And the result came back all fine

@Lou011 How did your scan go? I hope you are ok x

Lou011 · 26/04/2019 19:36

Hi @ Constance1234,
The Scan went well. I didn’t have a miscarriage, but I haven’t stoped brown bleeding since. There was a Heartbeat ( we double checked it😉). Big relief!
Had a shower 30min ago and my panty liner was red again... looks like I have to start all over again😔.. Have to wait and see how the bleeding is going over the weekend.
X

@Lou011 That’s great news! I hope you can get to the bottom of what’s causing the bleeding soon to put your mind at rest, although I can imagine you’ll have a worrying weekend. Seeing the heartbeat is really positive, keep that in mind :)

Lou011 · 26/04/2019 20:09

@Constance1234 I’m trying to stay as positive as possibleSmile.
Thank you for asking. X
