Bump watch

Hey just wondered if you’d share your experience of when you actually noticed your bumps in your pregnancies. When I’m lying down I feel a little one at the bottom of my belly. But standing up I’m sure it’s more bloat than anything. Sometimes I’m really bloated and looks like a bump especially after eating. Then other times my belly looks normal. At times I can suck it in and at times I can’t. I find it so weird.

I think it depends on the person, if it's first and how strong the stomach muscles are.
How far along are you and is this your first?

I didn't really start to show until I was 25 weeks, at 20 weeks I was sure there was a bump there, like you laying in bed I was sure there was something there, but the picture I took and shared... I just look like I've eaten a big meal and have a food baby 😂
Even now at 28 weeks, I look at myself in the mirror and I just look bloated.
I can't work out if I'm happy my stomach muscles are strong or annoyed that I still don't look pregnant 🤔

The bump rises up out of your pelvis at about 12 weeks, but as you have found, it's only really palpable when you are lying down. Once you stand up, the uterus falls back down into the pelvic cavity again , so you can't feel it so well. It only becomes obvious a few weeks later, at about 16 weeks , and a lot depends on the size of the uterus, if it's your first baby ( tighter muscles then !). Best wishes !

It was really quite late on for me. I just looked bloated up until about 28 weeks.

there is no mistaking I'm pregnant now at 37 weeks! Make the most of it before bump starts getting in the way of everything lol

I'm 27 weeks and iv got a small bump. People I haven't seen in a while can't believe I'm nearly 7 months pregnant lol.

I have had a bump since 16 weeks. Now 19+4 and by evening I look huge!
First thing there is still an obvious bump but much smaller.
Don’t need maternity tops yet but definitely need jeans although they are quite big still.

For me it was at 18 weeks, strong stomach muscles, wide hips, first baby & tall. I think it's just one of those things, it'll happen when it happens. I can still hide it with baggy tops, but it's a completely new body shape for me so really obvious to people I know well. Coincidentally I started feeling movement around the same time. So it's not all bad 😊
