Do I go in again with reduced movements despite anterior placenta?

Just coming up to 27 weeks and have been to hospital twice already with reduced movements, it's been fine both times just the anterior placenta in the way. It's been a week since my last visit and I've had movement everyday since, even seen my bump jiggling with his kicks! However today, nothing. I feel almost silly ringing up when it is almost guaranteed to be he's just moved back behind the placenta. Do I go in? Feel like I look crazy going in for the third time when I'm still fairly early in their eyes.

Go in. There was a thread the other day where things didn't turn out well after reduced movements. Better safe than sorry.

Go in , they will understand and if they don’t tough luck!!

Have you tried the drink a fizzy caffeinated drink or hot drink and laying down in a darkened room first ?

If so go honestly can’t be too careful and you will sleep better to check x x

Short answer- YES!!! Its always better to go in and everything be fine, than ignore it and then everything not be fine! Like you said its most likley just because of the anterior placenta but if your worried, and if it's not normal go and get seen!

Yes go in as often as you need to.

Good luck x

Yes definitely go in x

Definitely! I have an anterior placenta too and my midwife told me to never just assume that is why I have reduced movement and to always go in and get checked! I felt like a nuisance too but something my midwife said made me feel a lot better "it's what they're there for, if people didn't go in they wouldn't have a job"

Go in. I ended up having to go in twice weekly. The hospital never made me feel stupid for it.

Thanks everyone, I went in and all is fine. The second they put the monitor on he did a massive kick that both me and the midwife saw and felt.. typical!! Atleast all is well Smile

Glad all is well but do go in again if it happens. I had my boy 37&6 after 5 episodes of reduce movement. Was happy to have him here healthy & well 💗 He’s doing great so far. Don’t hesitate at all to go in - not worth the risks.
