Has anyone used the new iCandy Lime?

I realise it's only just come out, but has anyone seen/used the iCandy Lime yet? If so, what did you think?

It seems to tick a lot of boxes for us - we live in a second floor flat and I need something with a carrycot that comes off but that I can fold and carry up two flights of stairs on my own. Overnight sleeping in the carrycot is also a plus. The Lime seems to tread a good line between the Peach/Orange/Chameleon types and the Raspberry/Bugaboo Bee types in terms of weight vs not losing features.

If you've seen it, or even used it already, tell me all your thoughts!

We had a look at it in John Lewis and it was the one we liked most in terms of what it comes with (carrycot and adapters for the car seat) for a similar price to the Bugaboo Bee5 on its own (which would be perfect but a bit beyond our budget unfortunately). It folds up nicely and pretty small, and has the strap for carrying too. I've seen people out and about with it with a car seat on too and it looks quite nifty!

Thanks, @Justincase87! Yes, we liked that it comes new-born ready, and at a more comfortable price-point...

I have ordered Icandy lime as this is DC number 3 for us and my youngest is 2 and I was drawn to the built in buggy board as she walks but does occasionally get tired, it's so light and folds easy and small fold including the seat unit and the elevators are good for making baby higher.

I used it in show room and it navigates and folds easily using one hand and has a strap to go over your shoulder! Can't wait to collect and use ours?

I would definitely recommend it x

@OctoberGirl91 How are you finding the pram now you've had it for a little while? I'm considering getting this pram for our first baby (due March) but some people have said the seat isn't that big once they get older? Do you think your two year old would have been comfy in it? Have you found the built in buggy board works well?
xx

I bought this one, but we're still awaiting the arrival of our LO. Goes together well, and seems easy to manoeuvre... just hasn't been out the house yet!

Hi, I know this is an old thread..... but can anyone give any insight on how they have found the icandyLime? I'm due in December and thinking of going for this. How is the basket size? Thanks!

Hey, did you get any responses about the lime? I’m interested in this pram too but haven’t found many reviews on it yet. Thank you :)

Charlotte2020 · 23/11/2020 10:47

We tried it out in John Lewis, best all round out of bugaboo, UppaBaby, oyster3 and silver cross to carry about, fold up and move around. We've just ordered one £75 off 👍🏼 I'm a FTM so no experience of using it with a wriggly baby in the rain as yet!

Newmum2B2021 · 23/11/2020 16:02

Ah thank you, I’ve found it hard atm where you can’t go try things out. I have been looking at the one on baby planet with the car seat bundle, that’s on sale too :)

EmJay19 · 24/01/2021 07:40

If anyone is still looking at the icandy lime, from experience, it’s awful. The JL reviews explain the issues, the wheels are so erratic it’s difficult to push in a straight line let alone turn corners / go up and down curbs. At the end of the first lockdown I was at JL to send it off to be repaired for something else - it had stopped folding up... and there was another woman there with the same pram but different issue. Leave well alone

Hi there

I couldn’t agree more with EmJay19 on the wheels.

First of all, it’s not compact or lightweight. I am struggling to carry it up our 5 doorsteps.

Second, the fold lock is very flimsy and the buggy keeps unfolding. I have to push it really hard. When folded, the handlebar touches the ground, which I guess it’s not a big issue, but with the covid situation, not the best.

The canopy does not work smoothly and one of the seams has come off. I have recently started using the seat and the canopy is too close to my baby’s head.

Overall, massively disappointed with the product. Avoid!

Just to add to my previous post, you definitely need two hands to fold. Please watch the demo on YouTube. Not sure how you can press a button on the left and push the handlebar at the same time with one hand.
