PUL any advice please

Hi found out on Monday that I have pregnancy of unknown location. Originally thought I had miscarried on the 3rd April had been bleeding it's really only stopped there on Wednesday. Got treated with methotrexate on Wednesday back up tomorrow for bloods. Jus wondring if anyone has been thru the same thanks xxx

Hi I went through the same last year although mine was eventually diagnosed as ectopic - methotrexate didn't work for me and I ruptured at about 7 weeks pregnant

Take it easy after having MTX it really takes it out of you and made me feel awful for several weeks after. Hopefully your day 4 blood tests will show your hcg level is falling. Don't be alarmed if they rise - that can be normal for day 4 but should start to fall afterwards if MTX has worked x

I was given MTX at the upper limit they will try it - with a hcg of 3500 - my day 4 bloods came back over 5000 and I ruptured 24 hours later

Some pain is normal as the MTX tries to do its job but if the pain becomes unmanageable with the strongest painkillers go straight to a&e x

Thanks for the reply ladies sorry for your losses. My hcg was very low only 38 when they said about miscarriage then it stayed static until I had the injection. Have felt nauseous for a few days since it but got the good news today my bloods are below 7 so that's me back to normal. Scared of the whole process of trying again incase something goes wrong hope that passes xxx

Good news your hcg has fallen. Just remember once you have had MTX you can't try to get pregnant for at least 12 weeks as it's incredibly dangerous for a developing pregnancy x

I'm so happy its been a long few weeks. I have a wee op booked for june so won't be trying to after that. I was actually ment to to go in on Friday there for the op but couldn't get it with all that was going on. Xxx
