High Fetal Heart Rate 9 weeks

Hi all,

Looking for some words of encouragement and other ladies experience of this..

My scan on Friday went well, measured right in track at 9+3 but the heart rate was 191. The baby was moving its arms and legs about but the Dr said it was all normal.

I've read high heart rate can be linked to birth defects. Also not seem many women with babies HR that high at 9 weeks.

Just wondered what your little ones HR were at 9-10 weeks?

Thank x

If the doctor wasn't concerned and everything else went well then I really wouldn't worry :)

We usually get about 150-185 on the Doppler in early pregnancy so I wouldn't worry about it, at 9 weeks this is the highest it will probably ever be and will begin to drop a bit.

Could also be that the baby was so active during your scan. If bubba was having a workout, heart rate would increase. I've never used a doppler before and not sure of accuracy so simply throwing it in as a suggestion, but is this something you might be able to borrow if concerned? Hope all goes well for you. X

@snowflakeeel thanks. The baby was moving around a lot. I'm hoping it's not too concerning as the Dr didn't say anything.
I think I'm too early for a Doppler I'm almost 10 weeks but didn't think they worked until about 13/14?

Mine was 185 at 9+2, said it’s normal as they are growing so much and moving about x
