I am wondering if you ladies can recommend a book for me to learn from? I've been googling EVERYTHING so far but think it could be beneficial with a book that covers everything pregnancy (and maybe also after the baby is born) so I don't ruin my eyes just reading on my iPhone all the time 😅

This is my first pregnancy and as stupid as it sounds I want to make sure I do everything right - Health-wise, what I need to buy/stuff for baby, what happens during each stage of pregnancy, what to expect after baby is born with feeding etc.. I am so clueless!!! I have absolutely no idea about what to expect or what I should do (apart from keeping healthy and eating healthy etc).

I feel like I'm a fraud that passed the interview for a job that is way above my head, and now during my 'notice period' before the baby is born I need to learn about the job and hope I can wing it when I start 😳😳😳

I have read loads. My favourite book for a first timer is Day by day pregnancy book.

@SunStruck me to!!!! I don't know what I am doing and am feeling a little overwhelmed to be honest!

@Mamabear12 thanks for the book recommendation I am going to look at it as well xxx

@Mamabear12 me too love that book
Also what to expect when you're expecting is another great book
In fact all of the what to expect are great impartial books

Three I'd recommend
For birth - the positive birth book. Amazing! Made me feel so in control and excited for it.
For baby from birth up - the wonder weeks my dd followed it almost perfectly.
And for sleep the gentle sleep book

I'm on the first trimester of my first pregnancy too. I'm really enjoying reading this hypno birthing book. [[https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0349419388/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_2-0UCb2D0QQXG
Hypnobirthing: Practical Ways to Make Your Birth Better]]
It's not about hypnotism! It's about relaxing and working with your body, trusting its ability and having a more positive birth. Really enjoying it. Would recommend!

Another recommendation for The Positive Birth Book. by Milli Hill.
This book has got me actually excited and looking forward to the labour & birth Grin

Expecting Better by Emily Oster. It's brilliant, especially if you like to know the reasons behind all the advice (and whether it's actually necessary).

I liked the classic. What to expect when you are expecting. Extremely informative

I really enjoyed :

Clemmie Hooper - How to grow a baby and push it out (this one is a must read IMO - informative yet entertaining)
Holly Willoghby - Truly Happy Baby (more about baby than pregnancy)
Hollie De Cruz - Your Baby, Your Birth (Hypnobirthing)
