I was 29 weeks and 6 days when I had an emergency C-section. After a week of after having the surgery I started to develop palpitations, I had all kinds of test done and everyone came back that it was anxiety related because my son was laying in the NICU. I wasn't believing any of that and still dont. Has anyone suffered from their heart feeling as if it would skip and want to knock you down after having this surgery or anything similar if so please give me story. Almost forgot I had a cerclage placed at 16 weeks and was diagnosed at 25 weeks with preeclampsia.

I get palpitations and panic attacks. When you can a bad attack it does feel like a heart attack: my hospital tested me everytime due to my ethnicity so provided you got the full workup for possible cardiac issues I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Also it’s not uncommon for palpitations / attacks to start after a traumatic birth; if it bothers you there are meds you can take but not sure how they work with breastfeeding.

I dont breast feed. I never even made it far enough to develop milk. What kind of medicine is there that will help. The blood pressure meds i am on are suppose to help. Or cause them I dont remember!

It’s likely your meds might cause it ye. Diazepam helps but not sure they’ll let you mix that with the BP drugs. Besides if you’re on beta blockers those should be able to help anyway; is your Bp under control?

not without the meds it aint. It will shoot straight up to like 160/105... Ill probably have blood pressure for the rest of times. They wouldn't prescribe anything like that to a 29 year old. Say im to young to start on a med like that..
