Hi ladies last night I bled, it was bright red and really scared me. I'm 13 weeks and 1 day. Is this normal?
It wasn't heavy just light spotting but I'm so paranoid I keep going Loo go check it's not getting heavier Sad

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

@Holiday16 it's not normal but does happen. Please call your epu or midwife. They'll want you in to scan and check baby but also check you for a reason.

I had what they called a major bleed at 14 weeks at work (blood gushing) was taken to a&e scanned baby was fine. It meant I was put on a special pathway with extra appointments and some growths and. Small gestational one I think. On the form for it they had ticked bleed post 12 weeks

I had masses of bleeding and clotting just after my 11 week scan, went to EPAU and all was fine - that was 11 years ago, she's fine ❤️😎

I had a bleed at 9 weeks, midwife detected a heartbeat and told me to take it easy. 2 months they detect it's a two vessel cord, cue tons of extra tests etc. Baby was fine. Fast forward 3 years and we return to the U.K. to live bringing medical notes, nurse at new practice notices I had a two vessel cord and asked did I have a bleed? Apparently it was likely dd was initially a twin.
