Hi!!

I'm 5 weeks + 4 days, and my tummy is a lot bigger than other people's at 5 weeks. Starting to worry it's twins as I know they come with complications.

Please advise and reassure me!

I don't have my first scan until the 5th June :(

Is this your 1st baby?

You seriously need to calm down, else this will be a long pregnancy for you... it's probably just bloat anyway, you won't be showing at 5 weeks. Everyone is different so stop comparing yourself to others.

Five weeks is far too early to have a baby bump even with multiples so your tummy being bigger at this point will just be bloating. Do twins run in your family? If you really are worried and going to struggle to wait until 12 weeks then why not consider booking yourself a private early scan.

Sorry I do apologise - I'm 19 and just need as much advice as possible. Sorry to be such a worrier. Thank you for the advice x

At 5weeks baby is a cluster it cells, the size of a chocolate chip according to my app. It's not going to cause you to "show".

However, the change in progesterone can make your digestive system slow down and be sluggish, so you're likely to be very bloated.

A cluster of cells*

You might want to download a pregnancy app - it gives you all this info and more, including what size baby is x

Your body is changing so u will notice it more than anyone. My sil and me were pregnant at the same time i was pregnant with 1 she was having twins and my bump was bigger than hers we were due the same month,so dont worry the size of your tummy wont matter.
Also dont be sorry for asking any questions thats what we are here for x

Are there twins in your family?

As other PP have said you really wouldn't have a bump this early on in your pregnancy. It's likely just bloating.
You really do need to try and chill out a bit else these 9 months will be hell for you.

In your families that should say...
