How many weeks were you when you told your dc you were expecting? I think its sensible to wait until 12 weeks, but that feels like forever!

We couldn't wait that long, so we booked an early scan (8 weeks,) and told him after that

After a scan at 11 weeks. Only reason I told that early was so they would be careful bouncing on me when they bound into the room in the morning.

Told our son really early, we had a skiing holiday booked and I wanted to explain why I wouldn't be skiing - and at 3, he's very enthusiastic at jumping in to me knee first.

He came with us to a private scan at 8 weeks so he could see everything for real and he's so excited. Asks to see pictures of what the baby looks like on Ovia and Pregnancy + and asks me every day what size fruit the baby is....and tells every body!

It's actually been really lovely having him knowing. But knowing he's a chatter box we knew him knowing meant we wouldn't have the luxury of keeping it quiet from everyone else.

We told DS1 just before 12 weeks last time because we were going to Disneyland and mummy couldn't go on any rides but this time we're waiting until after our 12 week. We had a heartbeat at 6 week early scan but I've had losses at 11/12 weeks before so don't want to say until past that point

We had reoccurring early miscarriages so wanted to keep it quiet for a bit.

However dd aged 7, told me when I was 6/7 weeks I'm pregnant and it will be a boy coming in the school holidays. I tried to fib a bit but oh no she was insistent I was lying.... she was right.

It was a sticky one

I'm due, likely a boy in the school holidays!! She is over the moon and she believes she knew before everyone! We did manage a 5 and 6 week scan before she totally rumbled us tho- she says she dreamt about it (she probably did shes been utterly desperate)

I told my 5 year old DD when I was 24 weeks with her brother. I'd previously had 6 MCs so thought it best to be certain. With my 3rd I waited again until 20 weeks to be sure all was well.

We waited till after the 12 week scan. It will be a long 6 months of asking if the baby is coming yet, but I didn't want toddler picking up on other people talking about it, I wanted her to hear it from us and she's so excited!
