Hi can i get some advice..

I did 2 first response pregnancy tests 6 days before my period last week. I felt pregnant. They came back positive with faint pink lines.

Over next few days did 4 more tests (2 first reponse and 2 sainsburys own) that were all negative.

I got to the day of my period and expected it to start.. waited nearly 3 days and it didnt. So retested again yesterday with a Clear Blue Digital and it came up Pregnant 1-2 weeks. I was so excited.

Then I did another Clear Blue test this morning and its saying now Not Pregnant.

Im still tracking my temperature and thats still highand no sign of my period and have nausea. But there the only symptoms i have of pregnancy.

I dont know what to think.. has anyone had this happen to them ? What would you think ? Should i test again ? X

Sorry OP I would say it sounds like a chemical pregnancy particularly if you have had a negative clearblue digital this morning when previously it was positive.

Clearblue has a hcg threshold of 25 compared to First response which can be as low as 6 so I wouldn't take any more tests I'm afraid (as if you take a first response it could show positive again even though your hcg levels are going down) x

Well got a positive yesterday morning saying 1-2 weeks with Clear Blue Digital and now Im 4 days overdue my period with no sign of my period.

So with a chemical pregnancy does that cause your period to be delayed ? I always thought it was a chemical one if you got pregnant in the two weeks before your period but then your period started. X

Last time I had a chemical I had a very faint positive for a couple of days then negatives and my period was late by around 8/9 days - my period was late by roughly the same time span that it took post ovulation to have a short lived implantation - 8 days x

Sorry you had this to deal with too. Mines a bit different cos i had faint positive line tests at the start. Then got negative line tests. All that was before i misser my period.

Then 3 days late i got a pregnant 1-2 weeks clear blue and next day a 'not pregnant' clear blue. I may just be over testing.. i think im just going to hope for the best and leave it a few days to see what happens as my period still hasnt arrived x thanks for your help lovely xx

I once took 4 tests - 2 clear blue and 2 sainsbury. The two clear blue were negative and 2 sainsbury positive. All taken same time. Next day took first response and was positive. That was for my son who is now 5. But if the same test brand is saying negative after positive it could be chemical. And period delayed. Or perhaps your urine is diluted?!

If you have a chemical, your period could start any time, not just when it normally would. What's happened is that an embryo implants, starts to develop (so HCG is present in enough volume to give you a positive test), but then it stops developing, so either less sensitive tests never go positive, or previously positive FRER come back negative.

This happened to me after a round of IVF and I came on a few days after the negative test, which was several days after my period would have come if I had never been "pregnant". I'm sorry if this has happened to you, it's shit.

Yeah just not sure becuase my temperature is still high and i have other symptoms.. (TMI constipation, bloating, weeing ALOT, tired easily)
Its just throwing me because of the symptoms as well.

If my HCG had dropped that much in 24hrs from.positive to negative surely that should mean my symptoms would disappear or at least start to reduce with it ?

I have an appointment at doctors for next thursday and will test again before that if AF hasnt arrived.

Thanks lovelies for your support and advice.. somethings happened cos im never late, i dont want to loose hope.. but iam preparing myself for the worst that we have lost it xxxxx
