Hey all, I'm 15+2 and the last few days oh my god, my nose! I've had a dry nose and then nose bleeds (not horrendous ones) but I'm waking up tasting blood and my nostril is all bloody

I've also got a dry throat all of a sudden :(

Is this normal? This is my first baby following ivf, I worried so much about getting pregnant I didn't look into all the side effects that come along with pregnancy 😂

I had this with my first baby (now 11) but not the second (8)

I've only ever had a nose bleed when pregnant! Not had one this pregnancy yet but occasionally have a bit of a bloody one when I blow my nose. Pretty normal I think!

Me! Mine strated similar time to you. I have to use Vicks every night before bed. I have had my first ever nose bleed being pregnant and am also very dry and stuffy with blood boogers when blowing.

Oh so attractive. 😂

I'm 36+3 And my nose is constantly blocked. Both nostrils are always full of snot and dry bogies and can't blow my nose without blood appearing it's fantastic. Midwife said normal. Just one of those annoying things!! Feel like I've had a cold for 36 weeks!

Ditto. 17 weeks and it feels like I've had an on again - off again nosebleed for about a week. Blow my nose and suddenly red...

peasando · 18/04/2019 16:38

Yes! I had this with my son and it's just started again yesterday (4+4) Like pp I NEVER get nosebleeds when I'm not preggers but now every time I blow my nose it's bloody 🤮

Pomfluff · 18/04/2019 16:55

Same here, never had a nosebleed in my life until pregnancy, and then 2-3 bleeds every single day for the entire 3rd trimester! They disappeared the day I gave birth and never came back.

Be sure to lean forward when pinching your nose, not backwards. Lots of websites also tell you to keep pinching until the blood has clotted however in my experience this can cause blood to build up and slide down your throat (super gross!) I found it useful to periodically let the blood drain out, and just avoid swallowing any of it.

Yup. I’m 37.5 weeks and have had nose bleeds throughout both my pregnancies ! Also had sinusitis which may be linked. Stops as soon as baby is out !

I had nosebleeds and dry mouth through the night so we got a humidifier for the bedroom. Might be worth a go?
