Ache in nether regions

Hello

Please bear with me as this is a bit of a funny one, but it has taken me so long to get to this stage I am worried about every little thing...

I’m currently 21 weeks pregnant, have all day had a dull ache in my vagina area (sorry if TMI), its almost feels like I am constantly pushing down as if to go the toilet which is causing the aching, although when I press on the area it eases off a bit. I’m wondering if this sounds like a UTI (never had one before luckily), although I haven’t actually felt the need to wee anymore than usual and it doesn’t hurt when I do.

I’m wondering what else it could be, I’ve been googling all day!

TIA x

It could well be a UTI, I had similar in my first pregnancy and it was a UTI. Best giving the midwives a call

Do you ever get aches like that around your period? I do and I also had in pregnancy, eased as pregnancy progressed. It’s likely relaxin acting on your pubic ligaments. If any other symptoms suggest UTI it’s worth ruling out but I wouldn’t worry at all.

Thanks both for your replies.

Moreismore, yes sometimes i would get the same ache during my period and even sometimes after DTD (sorry TMI again). I did wonder if it was from the ligaments esp as the last few nights I’ve really struggled to sleep as laying on my side my hips/legs just ache so much.

I had vagina aches a lot during pregnancy through out. Also pressure in the bum!

Now still have hemmoroids 5 weeks post partum 🤦🏾‍♀️

Hope it eases off if you

I rang the maternity unit this morning as I’m still feeling really uncomfortable with it, it feels really bruised like I’ve been kicked in the crotch! The midwife reassured me not to worry as it is most likely that the baby is lying low and pressing on something.
