Clear blue digital with weeks indicator doesn’t match dates

I am totally panicking that I am having another MC. I am 5w1d but cb digital yesterday and today are saying 2-3.
I had a mmc in Feb and managed to fall pregnant again first cycle.
I don’t really have any symptoms so far. Has anyone any experience with dates not matching?
This is my 4th pregnancy (one daughter, TFMR and mmc preciously) and when I’ve used them in the past they matched up. I have such a terrible feeling about it!

Stop testing! There’s a reason the NHS use blood tests to assess hCG levels/pregnancy progress - it’s because those tests are a marketing gimmick and not that accurate.

CherryO88 · 18/04/2019 06:36

I know I should stop testing but I can’t relax now. 2-3 again this morning 😭😭😭😭 just waiting to start bleeding, my last Mc was a silent one. Anyone any idea how long it will take?

OP, could you look to have a private reassurance scan? Thanks

Rubberduckies · 18/04/2019 07:28

You must have spent a fortune on tests! You really need to stop testing... Pps have suggested talking to your GP about your worries and also thinking about booking an early reassurance scan. Do you think they might help?

VenusStarr · 18/04/2019 07:59

@CherryO88 please stop testing.

Mine isn't a good outcome but I tested at 5+2 and got a 3+ weeks. However my pregnancy didn't progress beyond 5 weeks and I had a missed miscarriage. So even if you get 3+ there is no guarantee. I'm sorry that's not what you want to hear ❤️

Please try to find a way to manage your anxiety. I understand how consuming it all is but try to take each day as it comes xx

CherryO88 · 18/04/2019 08:02

Spoke to GP who basically said I have to wait.
I have a scan booked in on the 24th.
I am medically trained so I can’t help but try to work out exactly what is going on. I do feel calmer today, what will happen will happen but I would just like to be prepared for when it does

I got a 3+ last year in line with how I was expecting hcg to rise and it was ectopic so you can never tell really

I mean this kindly because I was just like you, BUT: You need to speak to the GP not about pregnancy but about your anxiety - there will be a million more stressful moments along this journey - will the scan show abnormalities, when will you feel movement? Have you felt enough movement on any given day? The wait for labour etc. It’s really, really hard. And if you go at all of it with this frenzy of anxiety you are going to burn yourself out. See if you can access CBT now, to try and get yourself in a better place otherwise you are going to find things really difficult and draining.

CherryO88 · 19/04/2019 13:39

@fenallamaxwell I know what you’re saying. I know I’m causing myself undue stress but I cannot stop testing now. I have to know what’s going on. I spoke to another GP yesterday about it and she just said I have to wait it out again.

2-3 again this morning. Still no bleeding or cramps, some nausea but I think that’s just from the anxiety. Will just have to wait to have it confirmed on Wednesday

I never went above a 2-3 on a CB and I'm currently 33 weeks pregnant.

And from the time it first gave me a 1-2 result, based then on my scan,'I should have been 2-3 or 3+ at that point.

Baby is fine. In fact he's measuring far too large for my liking!

Try not to worry.

FenellaMaxwell · 19/04/2019 14:56

Undue stress isn’t good for the baby either though. Or for you. You can’t just leave this because it isn’t just going to be the positive tests. There is more stress to come and you need to find ways to deal with that.

i am currently 4 weeks and 2 days pregnant but i took a clear blue digital test and it’s saying 3+ has anyone ever had this?
also the week before taking that test i took another one and it said 1-2 weeks stating that i am 3-4 weeks pregnant but for me to be 4 weeks and 2 days now why is it saying that i am 5+ weeks?

I really hope you didn’t read the thread and think it was appropriate to comment asking about your pregnancy tests after the OP’s update saying she had began bleeding (assuming she lost her baby).
