Has anyone been for an early gender scan at mothercare?

I’m 18 weeks and am desperate to know what I’m having! As there’s no guarantee I will find out at my anomaly scan (7th May) I’m considering going for an early gender scan. I know that Mothercare do them and I’ve looked at booking online but all of the dates available are no good for me because I work full time and sometimes during the weekend.
Has anyone else been for a scan at Mothercare?
Do you think I’d just be able to turn up and pay for one without a booking?
Is it even worth paying for one or should I just wait?

Thanks guys, this is my first post here! Smile

Not at mothercare but we’ve had scans at Baby Bond clinics a couple of times and they were quite rigid on their appointment times because they had other women booked in for scans. If none of their appointment slots suit you could either try calling them or look at other companies in your area (if there are other companies) such as Window on the Womb.

Yes! I had mine at mothercare at 17 weeks, I believe I got the gender can package which also lets you see and print out pictures of your baby in 3D! I highly recommend it!
The woman there was great and allowed two more members of my family in with me although there was a limit.
The scan was around 15 minutes and she is the gender at the end (which I asked for) however she did say she saw his little willy the second she started he scan!
Seeing him in 3D was also amazing and she got a brilliant clear shot of him.
Was thinking of booking in again when I'm around 30 weeks for the 3D scan again but this time it's a little more pricey
Here's my sweet boy! I'm now 23 weeks and cannot wait to hold him ❤️

Yes, I had one at Mothercare last year. Pretty certain they have to be pre-booked online. Had mine at 16 weeks and it was great, my DC came along and the ultrasound technician was lovely. She showed them a photo of how it should look if the baby was a boy or girl and they all shouted ‘it’s a boy!’ together which was lovely.

@outpinked haha my sonographer said hands up if you think girl (everyone put hands up) then hands up of you think boy (my brother did) then shouted 'it's a boy!'
I was most certain baby was a girl so I was shocked and I think it took around 2 days to really believe it's my son in there 😂

I had two at mothercare and more at other places that were way cheaper and the cheaper ones were honestly better than mothercare.. If I were you I'd look around because mothercare is so expensive I paid about £89 at mothercare and £40 elsewhere for the same equipment to be used..
