Feel really gross right now but I am worried so I'm turning to Mumsnet yet again.
To set the scene a little, I have horrible bladder issues whether I'm pregnant or not. So at 27 weeks pregnant they're really really bad. I just sneezed and thought I wet myself a little, which is quite a usual thing to happen. Because I was in bed and didn't want to waddle to the toilet with wet leggings on I took them off and wiped my vagina. By chance I looked fleetingly at where on the leggings I'd wiped and it's covered in mucus. I definitely haven't wet myself just sneezed out mucus 🤮
Although it appears to look normal according to the NHS website it definitely doesn't look normal for me. I have a cold but I asked my partner to smell it and he says it smells like a mixture of sick and poo (thanks love, don't feel self conscious enough without being made to feel like my vagina is producing disgusting smells).
I can't ask anyone in real life as they all cringe when I talk about colostrum fgs so can anyone say if they've had it or if they'd call someone? Please? Worried and feel self conscious.

Evening zombee,

It could be an early mucus plug loss, fairly gross but if you’re at all worried by the sight of it call the maternity unit and see what they advice. Much much better to get an expert opinion and a quick check up than wait.

Thank you @MrsGrannyWeatherwax I think I just needed someone else to tell me I'm not being stupid for worrying. Will start making calls now

It’s always better to check than to worry - hope it is nothing tho lovely

They've said it's nothing to worry about because it's only really the one symptom, but I need to go and get checked over tomorrow just in case 🙌

That’s a relief for you! Get a decent sleep in while you can

I lost a bit of my plug at about 30 weeks. They said it'll grow back 🤢
