I'm only 35 weeks pregnant but all day I've had a feeling that my waters are about to break or I'm about to go into labour. I know this is probably just ftm worries but I just can't shake the feeling! Did anyone else have a feeling like this and it was right? Should I be packing my hospital bag asap or do I just need to stop with the worrying?😁 thanks x

I would have my bag packed and be ready to go if I was you. Anything from 37-42 weeks is “due time” so it’s very possible that you are close.

No I hadn't a clue. Went to bed as normal and woke at 4am with first contractions

Littlebird88 · 14/04/2019 19:33

I felt like something was going to fall out or my waters were you g to break from about 35 weeks.

I needed induced at 41 weeks!

DavidBowiesBulge · 14/04/2019 19:36

You should have your bag packed by now.
I got the nesting instinct 2 days before my labour started. On the day I woke up with very mild period pains and needed a nap at midday as I was so tired. Pains increased all day, was properly going by 6pm, in the hospital at 8pm. Waters never broke.

You never know! Be prepared!

Yes. I knew I'd go into labour early as I had threatened preterm labour at 30 weeks. I went into labour at 35+6. Luckily had packed my hospital bag at 30 weeks.

duebaby2 · 14/04/2019 20:42

I didn't know I was in labour until I had the first contraction, 9hrs later I had a baby, I assume only 6hrs of that was established labour, No waters went (they were broke for me at 9cm), I really got no warning (I wouldn't have sent mil to London if I had known)

Look for mucus plug, bloody show, waters and your body prepping - you maybe be sick or really poopy.

Thanks for all of your experiences. I've spent the night washing hair etc and finishing baby's washing/ironing. Few more bits needed for hospital bag which I'll pick up in the morning then I'll be ready whenever baby wishes to make an appearance! Thanks x

Good luck OP. It's an awkward stage all this hanging about but feeling like something gonna kick off any moment.

I had a feeling a couple days prior DS would show early. We was at a festival a couple days prior and kept getting string BHs, my bump really dropped suddenly and I felt like it was gonna happen soon. As DH went off for his night shift I told him to keep his phone on loud as I'll be needing him back in a few hours. He just laughed but sure enough he had to leave work early and off the hospital we went!

Mommaof2x · 14/04/2019 22:23

I think you do start to think that but it could be ages really, once you hit your due date that’s when your more likely right

Mrsgtobe · 18/04/2019 09:30

Thanks for all your replies and experiences. I find it fascinating how it is so different for us all! I've been having really strong Braxton hicks on and off since Tuesday night they can be in a strong regular pattern for 2-3 hours then all fizzle out again. I was awake lots in the night last night and at one point was bent over the side of the bed trying to remember my hypnobirthing breathing! They again fizzled out again after a couple of hours and I managed to sleep until now when I've woken up and they are every 4-5 minutes again. Surely if this was labour something would have happened by now? No waters breaking, no show, no bleeding and baby moving fine
You'll all be pleased to know I have finally packed my hospital bag!
@twittlebee funny coincidence dh is on nights tonight and we've just talked through what to do if I think it's happening! Will keep you updated xx

It could all be early stages of labour, which can last days! So I reckon your body is gearing up! Really hope that your DH keeps his phone on loud and is able to easily get back if need be!
