Not ready to tell people but finding trying to dress a nightmare

I am 11 weeks tomorrow, this is baby number 4 but I have had a few miscarriages before this baby but I am showing already and just finding trying to dress a nightmare as I am not ready to tell people yet. Maternity clothes are too big but my own clothes even bigger sizes look crap on me, I am really struggling. What makes it worse it worse I found out the other day one of my colleagues is 18 weeks on number 3 and she doesn't look like it at all.

Can you get a couple of those really loose, blousy tops? Unfortunately they're not super flattering but they do hide pregnancy well.

I am going to go and have a look, the in between stage is just so hard. Obviously I don't have a bump yet but my stomach is very bloated.

Leggings and baggy tops is the way I went. Or primark high waisted jeans in a bigger size.

I got vest tops and then those sort of blouse tops from primark to wear, a bit like this:

Not amazing but disguises a tum and fairly cheap. Plus you can wear afterwards and works for BF is needs be.

I’ve got a shirt dress that is technically maternity but just looks like a normal dress with plenty of fabric, which can be artfully arranged to cover your tummy! Got mine from Mamalicious (awful name) but anything similar would do.

I’m 12 weeks but so bloated around the rib area. I want to wait a couple more weeks before telling everyone but friends who do know say I look pregnant. I find breathing in uncomfortable so that doesn’t help.

I’m just having to accept it as it is what it is ( although very self conscious about it). Some will have worked it out and others noticed I eat all day (constantly eat due to nausea) so just think I’m fat!

Good luck

For work, wrap dresses with peeplum jackets works really well to hide the bloat.

I remember this stage well! Slim-for/skinny trousers and flowy tops plus a scarf worked for me for a while. Also bigger necklaces and brighter lipstick - at least in my mind that drew attention upwards! It's a really icky time. Congratulations, though!

I wore oversized blouses to work and used dressy scarfs to accessorise which hid the expanding stomach nicely!
