PROBLEMS SLEEPING

Hiya everyone,
I am 23 weeks preggers, and having great difficulty sleeping on my side, have problems with pelvis, but the pain seems to be worse on my hips. Any hints and tips, don't really want to resort to the sofa again like last time, I slept on it for 8 months. A pillow between my knees doesn't really help and we have bought a memory foam mattress this time, but that doesn't seem to be helping as much as I expected. Would do anything to sleep on my back

I was ok sleeping on my back if propped upright - 2 pillows with a V-shaped pillow on top to support my head, neck and upper back, then another pillow or 2 under my knees.

I sleep on my back quite a lot if I get uncomfortable on my side

Have you got SPD? I found it very painful in bed, especially when I tried to move. A pillow between my knees made it worse.

I developed SPD with my first DS, it got progressively worse and had xray when he was 10 months old to find alot of damage to my pelvis, so it has been going on for over 2 years, and SPD has kicked in again on top of existing problems.

I ended up propped on about 13 pillows because I had terrible heartburn in the third trimester. That was probably about the most comfortable position for my pelvis as well.
