Hello! I'm 8 weeks and yesterday saw babies heartbeat. I'm worried because I'm having brown discharge when I wipe and I did at 4 weeks too. Did anyone else have brown spotting when period was due? Surely it's not just a coincidence? Extra worry as I misscarried in November. Any comments would be helpful!! Just such a rollercoaster after such a positive day yesterday! Confused

OH isn't worried at all. He just keeps saying all will be fine. He doesn't get it at all

I had brown and pink discharge on and off until about 8 and a half weeks and even bright red blood at 9 and a half weeks.. I'm now 15 weeks and everything seems fine

Hello my lovely. I had spotting during week 6 on and off. I then had a little more during week 13. I’m now 17 weeks and all is well. Please don’t panic - think about everything that’s moving and stretching about down there ! The only time you should be worried is if it’s accompanied by pain/cramping and if your filling up pads frequently. And even then some ladies have heavy bleeds and baby is okay. I had a silent miscarriage last year so I know exactly how anxious it makes you feel trust me when I discovered the first lot of spotting my heart sank as I thought it was over. I booked an 8 week early scan and was reassured as i watched baby wave! I had a small area of haemorrhage (which is common) that I was told could cause a bit more spotting or could just absorb itself. They were not concerned. All the best 😘❤️ Xxx

Spotting can apparently be quite normal. I've had 3 pregnancies with no blood loss at all.
Baby 4 I've had quite a lot. I'm 13+2 and had a bit of spotting again just 2 days ago.
I know it's so worrying seeing it, I phoned Epu the first time it happened and they reassured me that unless it's heavy, so soaking a pad every hour and followed by severe cramps they don't usually think it is anything to worry about.
As far as I know my baby is doing well and the pregnancy is progressing well despite the odd bleed 🤞🏻 I had a scan at 11+2 and baby was perfect and I have another scan next week.

I wish you al the best xx
