Hello
Really need some advice xx
Currently 17 weeks pregnant and I have been suffering with constipation since week 12! I have a high fibre diet have increased my exercise and water and I am still suffering. I am living on lacalose and taking a glycin suppository probably every 5 days to help me go. Sounds weird but I don't even feel the need to go! I sit on the loo for ages and nothing, then by the 5th day I need to go and obviously can't so have to use a suppository. My poor bum is in so much pain! And sometimes even makes me not want to eat at all! Midwife and doctor are saying that constipation is normal in pregnancy but I can't carry on another 4 months like this! I don't even know if taking lacalose daily is safe?
Would really appreciate some advice
Tanya xx

I was prescribed Laxido by the GP when it was bad for me. I found having one a day was enough to keep things moving.

Constipation is common but I don't think that means you should just have to live with it! I would go back and push for more help.
