Baby shows

Is it worth visiting a baby show? I like the idea to see different brands/ ideas and maybe the odd bargain however from what I can gather the shows only take place twice a year.

I live in Surrey and so needs to be SE or London. There’s one this weekend but I feel it’s a bit early as I’m only 12 weeks Sunday. The next is October from what I can establish (a bit late as due then!).

The baby show is fabulous to visit. Lots of bargains, expert talks and you can test out a lot of the expensive items like prams.

Theres one in Birmingham at the NEC in may, definitely would be worth the journey (also from surrey). We went to the London one in March and saved 10% on both the pushchair and carseat (saving a few hundred pounds). We are going to the Surrey one this weekend to buy furniture.

Thankyou, I might try for the Birmingham one. Just feels a bit early for the Surrey one (which annoyingly is only 15 mins away).

The baby & toddler show at Sandown Park is ok but really quite small compared to Olympia or Excel. We’re off to Birmingham next month (from Cornwall via London!) as I want to try out some prams/travel systems for twins as well as see if I can get any good deals!!

@Rememberallball congratulations, wow twins

Had a feeling the NEC was the big one, might be a few of us on the M40!

Thank you @SurreyisSunny; before moving Cornwall we lived in Surrey (about 10 minutes from Sandown and I went to the one there in the autumn for ideas. Now we need to buy things so are doing the NEC with my sister (DH is staying in Cornwall and I’m staying at my sister’s for a week afterwards to look after her kids while she’s away on business. Would have gone to the London one in March but I was out of the country so missed it!!
