Period pains after sweep

I had a sweep this morning, 39+4 and since then I've had pretty much continuous mild/strong period pains.

I know everyone is different but I'm just wondering if anyone else experienced this and what (if anything) it meant for you in terms of time to labour?

Thanks a lot! X

I remember texting my hubby (at 40 +10) and saying it was odd that I was having period pains... he pointed out I was in labour..... eek good luck x

Yes the start of my labour felt like period pains!
Good luck!! Exciting Grin

I had almost exactly the same. Got really excited and thought I was in labour, but it stopped and I ended up 15 days overdue (DS1 is still a bugger to get out of bed at 7 years old!). Hopefully yours will continue!

I had a sweep at 39 weeks, few hours later had period and back pain, then had ds1 after 1.5hrs of labour 🤗
