Will morning sickness ruin my holiday?

Hi there

Apologies for a very 1st world problem here and am feeling extremely lucky to be pregnant obviously but... I am off to Disney world with DH, DD and my parents in two weeks, at which point I will be approximately 13 weeks pregnant. At the moment I am getting nausea - not as bad as I did with DD and am managing to stave it off a little bit by taking Vit B6 and having Acupuncture - but still feeling fairly yuck and I am concerned that it might ruin my holiday- especially somewhere like Disney which I have been so looking forward to and don't want anything to ruin the "magical" experience! lol.
I am beating myself up a bit as I just think why didn't I think to wait until we got back before TTC
!!
Hoping that by then the symptoms might have eased a bit anyway but maybe that's wishful thinking!
Anyway - any advice from people who have done this type of holiday whilst also feeling sick and did you still have a good time??
Many thanks

Hey lovely

I went to Florida at 13 weeks pregnant. Flight was fine, I was still very nauseous in the morning but went away around lunch time! Obviously it's v warm and muggy there so that made a massive difference but as long as you keep hydrated and keep snacking, you'll be grand! 😊

Hi, I'm going at around the same time too! (Paris though)...I found out that pregnant ladies can get an Easy Access Pass which means you can go to a ride (as long as it's suitable for pregnant riders) and show the pass and them just go back at a certain time and go straight in....no standing in line and up to 4 other people (kids/OH etc) can go with you.

Hope you don't feel too sick whilst there! We're going on the ferry so dreading that bit Sad

Im sure it will be just as magical even if you are feeling tired and sick, maybe just build a little more rest time in if possible. You have lots of supportive people around you (hopefully) who will understand if you want to sit out a day or two.

I usually feel really rough and exhausted until 16 weeks. Your sickness will probably be around the same as it is now, or possibly better.

Thank you everyone!! Your messages have reassured me quite a bit. Like you say, it won't (hopefully) get any worse so at least I know what to expect, that is if it hasn't eased off already.

Just hoping that the distractions will take my mind off it completely! lol.
Very supportive family around me so I think I will be more rested being away anyway!!

I skied and snowboarded during my pregnancy. The high altitude and clean air stopped my morning sickess and gave my appetite back.
Not sure the same can be said for Disney

Lol perhaps I can make a beeline for the rides which go really high in the air!! That sounds wonderful. Would be so nice if the symptoms all just disappeared. I have actually heard other people say that their morning sickness goes when on holiday which is pretty weird!!

Thanks for mentioning about the Easy Access Pass too Masha. That sounds great!
