Pregnancy test

Hi, I had unprotected sex 2 weeks ago and I’ve been having cramps and tender breasts and feeling generally unwell for the past week, I’ve just done a pregnancy test and got one negative and another with one line and then one with smeared ink at the end, should I take that as positive, negative or an invalid result? Please help!

Can u post a photo? Its hard to judge without seeing the results.

I think that top one is flooded so I wouldn't trust that. Re-test in a couple of days if your period doesn't show.

Did you hold the smeared one in the urine for longer than needed? I'd say the smeared one is invalid and the other negative x

Those tests are awful buy a frer.

The smeared one should be disregarded, it’s flooded. And the second one is negative. Even faint lines should be considered negative, the instructions say quite clearly on them that the line should be clearly visible or it is a negative test.

Test again after your period is late 😊

I've had very faint lines that are positive....They just get darker as the days go on.

Do you know about ovulation? Whilst it is possible to get pregnant from having unprotected sex once, the time when you are most likely to get pregnant is during ovulation, which happens approximately 14days after the first day of your period. The window varies for all women, especially for those who have irregular cycles and don’t know when to expect a period, but the fertile phase lasts probably about a week at the most. Outside those days, it’s unlikely, so does that help you to work out whether you are more likely to be pregnant?

It would normally take at least 2w for a pregnancy test to show positive unless you have a longer cycle than 28-30 days. If you haven’t missed your period, I wouldn’t worry yet. You may just be a few days later coming on.

Easier to pee in a cup and then hold the test in the pee. Less chance of flooding etc.
