Anyone had a sub chorionic haematoma/bleed?

Hi ladies,
I’ve got a sub chorionic bleed above the gestational sac that caused me to gush red blood last week and I’m now spotting brown. Baby was ok on the last scan yesterday at 8+3, but I’m terrified, it’s just taken so long to get here and I really don’t want to lose this baby. I would be so grateful if anyone with positive stories could please cheer me up!! Thankyou xx

I had one at 9 weeks and it scared the crap out of me but after the initial bleed I didn’t have another as it absorbed and baby was perfect and is now a few weeks old.

Nothing will stop you stressing, I completely empathise, it’s awful, and you’ve never seen two more shocked people when I had a scan at the EPU and she could see the hb and it was all fine! We stared at each other in complete silence then laughed with hysterical relief the whole way home.

Wishing you every luck with your pregnancy Smile

I had one, after 2 mcs I was convinced it was all over again but scan showed healthy 9 week foetus. He's now a very boisterous 6 year old Smile

I did continue to have small bleeds/spotting every now and then until 22 weeks, so don't assume the worst if you have further bleeding.

I had one at 5 and a half weeks. Gushed bright red blood and assumed the worst. This happened on a Saturday. Had to wait for a scan on the Monday.
Absolutely terrifying.
All thankfully was fine and now have a gorgeous DD.

I continued to bleed / spot for several weeks after.

I had one at 15 weeks. Had to take it very easy but it's cleared itself up and there was no evidence of it by 25 weeks.

Oh and the baby is now 4!

I had one at 13 weeks, so much blood I was convinced it was over. Had a healthy baby girl in the end Smile

Had one confirmed at 10 weeks at EPAU after a bleed at 6 weeks and a massive bleed at 8 weeks. I really thought it was all over as passed huge clots but scan confirmed baby was fine.

Had one further bleed at 12 weeks and then all ok. Gave birth to my DD 8 weeks ago.

Wishing you all the best Thanks
