Possible Ectopic Pregnancy

So by my dates I'm 4+3, and had some stomach pains on Monday like period cramps and a few sharp pains towards my right hand side. I called 111 and was sent to EPAU. They said they'd scan but they doubt they'd be able to see anything because it's so early. They also took bloods. The scan showed a gestational sac but no yolk sac (possibly too early) but I've now been given a letter saying I may have had an ectopic pregnancy because they cannot conform the gestational sac is a baby without the yolk sac. My HCG levels came back at 1,179 which is right for 4-5 weeks I believe as the doctor said. I'm due back tomorrow for bloods again and hoping HCG levels have doubled. Has anyone else been through this? I haven't slept all night just been up bloody googling which is the worst thing to do!

Hi i was getting pain in my left side at 5wks pregnant they thought it could be ectopic,i got a scan the sac was where it should be ,i went back 2 weeks later and the baby was in the sac.i really thought if they sac was where it should be then that would mean everything was ok, i never got told what u did, i never got blood taken either. Have they not said about getting another scan or even a enternal scan?

@Angelinthenightx they done an internal scan and that's how they saw the gestational sac, but they said they'll rescan in a week or 2 probably just to make sure everything is growing okay as long as the bloods come back ok tomorrow. The nurse said it's likely to be in the right place considering they can see the gestational sac in the womb but without seeing the yolk sac they can't confirm.

Thats what happend to me just the sac at 5wks went back at 7wks saw the heartbeat.im now almost 10wks. I diddnt get a letter or blood test but different areas must do different things, other than that its the same what i went through, does seem that everything is where it should be, its hard not to worry tho, your story seems close to mine so i think when u go to your next scan u will see something x

Same thing happened to me - I was getting really painful cramps at around 5 weeks. Doctor sent me to EPU, had the dildo cam and bloods taken but they said it was too early to tell. Went back a week later and they scanned again. Thankfully everything was where it should be and I went on to have a healthy baby. Never found out what was causing the pain - I now think it might have been trapped wind . That week wait was just awful though I hope everything works out for you

@Aozora13 @Angelinthenightx thanks so much ladies, makes me feel a lot better!! I'm suffering today with extreme dizziness, can't even sit up without feeling like I'm going to faint 😩 taking the pregnancy symptoms as a good sign though

Hi I've had an ectopic- if the sac was clearly seen in your uterus then it's definitely not ectopic......hcg over 1000 would mean if it's an ectopic they would likely see something where it shouldn't be eg in your tubes or on an ovary x
